Amidst the ongoing lockdown, international borders continue to remain closed. But some countries have lifted the restrictions on domestic travel. They’ve allowed domestic flights, train movements, inter-district, and inter-state journeys, albeit with a lot of precautions for travelers to take.

Here’s how you can enjoy your travel, as a responsible tourist along with taking the necessary precautions.


• Travel has begun, but with a set of rules and regulations to follow. Your first step to become a responsible tourist will be, to cooperate with the travel and health authorities, going through all the necessary health inspections, and security clearances at the airport, railway station, bus stations, etc.
• Roam freely, but always keep in mind that social distancing is a key to prevent the infection.
• Enjoy the local meals at the restaurants, but with a “precautionary” twist. Always make sure that the restaurant you visit, takes all the Covid-19 precautionary measures and is a well-sanitized place.
• It is possible, that the place, which you were eager to visit, has come under “corona” sensitive region. If that is the case, follow all the travel formalities issued by the localities or the governments, with due respect and help them to make your travel more clean, safe and healthy.
• As a responsible tourist, stay careful while littering the waste which contain masks, or any other medical waste. Contact the concerned people to know where to dispose it off.
• Always wear a mask and gloves to avoid infection resulting out of closer contact with an individual.
• Alcohol based sanitizer, can be your best friend while travelling. Always keep it with you. Sanitize your hand regularly but mainly after using public taps, doorknobs, railings, counters, etc.
• Always keep a check that whether you have taken all the important and necessary medicines with you, while travelling.
• A mutual co-operation with the airline staff, railway employees, and staff, along with all the Corona warriors elsewhere, will make your travel more soothing, relaxing and safe.
